The Great Gatsby.

Personally, it is my favourite book and movie at all times, it is a story about a young World War 1 veteran who graduated from Yale and took a big leap from a novel narrator to bond salesman in New York during the city was at it prime. Nick Caraway, settling down after the war, he moved to the Long Island and lived in a village of West Egg, renting a very small house, right beside a lavish and majestic mansion of an unknown rich man.

The timeline for this story was at 1920's  when Jazz music evolved, flapper culture, bootlegging and various criminal activity, which became the source of the wealth of a man none other than Jay Gatsby.

The Great Gatsby 2013
Nick was a cousin's of Daisy Buchanan, she was referred as the golden girl for her blonde hair and stunning look, wife of Tom Buchanan, Nick's acquaintance since college. Tom came from a very rich family which made Tom a very influential man. Nick was later introduced by Daisy to Jordan Baker, an attractive famous young golfer, Nick begins his romantic relationship with Jordan.
Gatsby mansion was famous because of all of the parties, but none one had ever received an invitation by the man himself, and somehow, nobody actually knows about Gatsby, he was claimed as an Assassin, as the cousin of the devil, as mad man who kills for pleasure but none of them was right.

One summer day, Nick received a formal invitation to the mansion, he was stunned yet excited because he was the only one. The night falls, he went to the party with invitation card in his hand, flashing it to everyone, prompting question on how can he find the owner of the mansion, Gatsby. Nobody seems to know where to find him, then he saw Jordan at the party, they had a small chat about Gatsby. Out of nowhere, a butler came and approach Jordan and told her that Mr Gatsby was looking for him, after awhile, Jordan came back and told Nick that now its all make sense, she left and asked Nick to look for him tomorrow.

The Party at Gatsby's

Night was still young for Nick, he spent his time looking at all of those people who's at the party the state was euphoric, he was lost in his own world, then he saw a figure of a very fine man, moving across the room, initiated a conversation with him, Nick told him stories that he heard about Gatsby, then the man introduced himself as the organizer comes the owner of the mansion itself, Jay Gatsby

After the night, Nick later learns that Gatsby and him shared the same division when they served in the army. Through Jordan, Nick was told that Gatsby had an romantic encounter with Daisy back in 1917 and he was unconditionally in love with her. He spent nights staring at the green light at the end of her dock across the bay from his mansion. He was hoping that by organizing parties, living a very high end lifestyle, Daisy would be impressed and be his once again.

Daisy was invited to Nick's house to have tea, she wasn't informed that Gatsby would be there too, once they've met, the situation was awkward, but it didn't take long for them to re-calibrate or re-establish their connection.

The Hi-Tea at Nick's

The tea session at Nick's was the beginning of an affair in between Gatsby and Daisy, after awhile, Tom grew suspicious of Daisy's behaviour and he suspected that Daisy was having an affair. Gatsby was invited to a luncheon at Buchanan's, Daisy spokes to Gatsby in a very romantic, undisguised and in a very cherishing that made Tom realizes that Daisy was in love with Gatsby. Though Tom himself shares the same boat, he was furious about the situation, Tom made everyone drives to New York and confronted Gatsby, Tom also revealed the story behind Gatsby's wealth, bootlegging alcohol.

Daisy was scared and wasn't so sure about her feelings towards Gatsby anymore, they went back in Gatsby's yellow car, but she was driving. She accidentally ran over Myrtle, Tom's mistress. But Gatsby plans to take the blame. George, Myrtle's husband falsely accused Gatsby and went to track him down. He went to Gatsby's mansion and shot him down and committed suicide right after. Nick stages a small funeral but nobody attended except for him, the priest and the undertaker. Nick Ended his relationship with Jordan and went back to his former life.
